A Swahili collections agent for Kenya
Zawadi calls customers of a Kenyan lender whose loan payment is overdue. She confirms she has the right person, checks their ID, reminds them once, listens, and works toward an M-Pesa payment today, a dated promise, or a split into two or three payments. She never threatens and never discloses the loan to anyone else. You play the customer, in the browser. After you hang up you see the call disposition your dialer or CRM would receive.
Otieno: Nairobi. Mobile loan, KES 8,400 overdue, 21 days past due. ID ends 4172.

Things to try
- Pass the identity check with the four digits on the customer file (in Swahili or English), or get them wrong twice.
- Answer as someone else: "Hapana, mimi ni kaka yake". Zawadi should not mention the loan at all.
- Pay now: "Nitalipa leo, nitumie M-Pesa". Zawadi queues an M-Pesa request (a mock).
- Say you can't pay it all. Zawadi offers two or three payments and pins the first date.
- Give a vague date, "Ijumaa ijayo" or "mwisho wa mwezi". Zawadi turns it into a real date and reads it back.
- Say you lost your job. Zawadi slows down and offers a specialist call back.
- Say you already paid through Paybill, ask about CRB, or ask if she's a robot.
- Mix English into your Swahili, the way most Kenyans do on the phone.
How it maps onto your stack
- Customer file
- Per-call variables from your dialer or CRM, sent when the session is created (or answered by a pre-call webhook).
- Identity check
- Last four ID digits before anything about the account; nothing is disclosed to a third party.
- send_mpesa_request
- A tool. Here it queues a mock; in production it calls your M-Pesa STK push (Daraja) or payment endpoint.
- Disposition
- Post-call extraction: outcome, promise date and amount, plan, hardship, dispute. Delivered on the post-call webhook with the transcript, summary and recording.
- Speech stack
- Streaming Swahili speech recognition and a natural voice, chosen per language. Swap or upgrade the stack per region without touching the prompt.
